| A panel of several thousand people who smoked in September 2003 was interviewed eight times between September 2003 and May 2005. This dataset will be used to examine what behavioural determinants best predict successful smoking cessation. Also the effects of a large quit smoking campaign will be studied. Specifically, studies on the influence of self-identity and social influence factors will increase knowledge on the determinants of successful cessation attempts. Studies on the role of interpersonal communication as well as on the additive and interactive effects of exposure to multiple media will increase knowledge on how health campaigns have what effects. |
