Abstract

T he aim of the project is to develop models that can be used to obtain the desired detailed, fundamental knowledge of granulation processes. In the project an existing discrete particle model will be used to also incorporate the presence of droplets. Thus a discrete element model (i.e. particles and droplets) model is obtained, incorporating the relevant processes at the level of individual elements. The discrete element model will be validated by comparing the simulation results with measurement results from Electrical Computed Tomography (ECT) measurements.
