| Objective: Evaluating the skin stretching technique for acute burn wounds and scar reconstructions; Clarify working mechanisms of skin stretching. Anticipated result: Acute burn wounds and scar reconstruction wounds may heal as small (linear) scars in a one-step procedure by skin stretching. Consequently, complications of scarring will be reduced considerably and less reconstructive procedures may be necessary. The results of the experimental study may improve the understanding of the working mechanisms of the technique. |
