| Dissemination and communication is an integral component of the ART-A program and is considered an essential contribution to the strategies to minimize the emergence of HIVDR in Africa. Dissemination and communication is entirely integrated in projects 1 to 4. ART-A will reach out to the African health policy makers, scientific community, health care professionals and the non-scientific community, including People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and the general population. ART-A will (1) increase awareness of HIVDR among the non-scientific community and put HIVDR on the (political) agenda (2) provide the infrastructure to build capacity among African health professionals and scientists to develop and implement a novel HIVDR test and achieve responsible interpretation of HIVDR test results, and provide novel options for HIVDR testing as an alternative to commercially available kits. |
