| The research has the following topic: "Investigation into the soil behaviour around a displacement pile in sand during installation." Both experimental and numerical work is anticipated, however, the main focus is on qualification and quantification of the soil behaviour from experimental research. This includes: 1g model tests (photoelastic, sand) and centrifuge tests. The intented numerical work will most likely be executed in an ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian) environment. |
