| The challenge of this project is to integrate the geo-engineering information from different origins and different scales, primarily: (1) knowledge of the geological history, (2) geophysical data and (3) geotechnical data. This will permit the construction of a geologically sound geometrical model at a scale of interest for the geotechnical models. Relevant ground parameters and scale of heterogeneities will have to be defined. Pilot sites will be selected in various soft soils and weak rocks environments encountered by the Dutch civil engineering and dredging industry. |
