| Our preliminary investigation suggests that Dutch organic soil has an unusual fabric where microstructures of organics and microfossils play a central role. Emphasis in this research is placed on the identification of the complicated microstructures and live measurement of their micro-deformations in a controlled environment (temperature & humidity) using modern experimental technologies (ESEM, micro and medical X-ray CT scan). |
