| This project realizes a variant edition of the prose poem 'Menschen en bergen' (1889-1891), meaning 'People and mountains', by Lodewijk van Deyssel that can be viewed on the Internet. This electronic edition is the first of its kind in the Netherlands and will help in the international innovation of textual scholarship. Its benefits include a browsing and search function, and it will very much simplify comparative research of the various versions in relation to a hard copy publication. The new edition also functions as a pilot for the development of software for electronic editing. |
