| Ongoing studies include the preparation of field sites for TB vaccine testing in South Africa and studies on the epidemiology and control of TB in Vietnam, Kenya and Tanzania. In addition, there is a PhD project on TB control among immigrants in The Netherlands and the role of new diagnostics for infection. Two new PhD projects were started, one on operational aspects of TB and HIV treatment in Uganda (funding by NACCAP-WOTRO), and one on the role of the Beijing genotype in TB transmission and drug resistance in Vietnam (WOTRO). |
