| The purpose of the study is to identify genes that are associated with entrepreneurial behaviour. Particular attention will be given to possible indirect effects of genes on entrepreneurial behaviour, e.g. via education or risk preferences. The study will mainly use existing datasets at the Erasmus MC that contain individual genetic information and information about socio-economic behaviour (e.g. the Rotterdam Study, Project R). The dissertation will built upon and extent the results of a currently ongoing interdisciplinary project at Erasmus University on the genetic predisposition to entrepreneurship by economists Prof. Dr. Roy Thurik and Dr. Philipp Koellinger and epidemiologist Prof. Dr. Albert Hofman. |
