Increasing claims on the landscape result in problems for the implementation of the NEN (National Ecological Network). Combining the ecological function with other functions might improve the implementation process. What the consequences are for biodiversity, support and costs is not well known.
Research objectives: The pilots should give a better understanding in the possibilities of implementation of the NEN together with other functions. What alternatives are possible? What are the problems and uncertainties? How can we deal with them? What are the knowledge gaps?
Materials and methods: In 2 pilot areas workshops will be used for the development of alternative configuration of the NEN (together with stakeholders).
Results and products: Cd containing spatial data and presentations of the workshops and a report of the experience and findings of the project. |
