China and the Netherlands agreed to promote sustainable agriculture and crop protection. The Dutch MoA wants to know which barriers slow down the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) methods in agriculture in China. For this, the Dutch MoA needs to know which institutions play a key role in implementation of these methods.
Research objectives: This project intends to contribute to the effort to develop a more sustainable crop protection strategy and an environmentally sound production related to Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and IPM (Integrated Pest management). The project is to initiate a Sino Dutch network of experts on GAP/IPM.
Results and products: The project is to initiate a Sino Dutch network of experts on GAP/Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Results are:
* A meeting between Sino and Dutch MoA with a conclusions on how to cooperate in the project * A report on institutions and stakeholders in China involved in implementation of GAP and IPM plus stakeholder analysis * A workshop on GAP * And if agreed on within the network, additional cooperation projects on specific GAP projects to be defined within the network |
