Development of a method to evaluate environmental and economic sustainability of different strategies. In 2007 the tool MEBOT (FEMEE) has been successfully tested. Real farm data was used to evaluate good and best practices. The model (MEBOT, in English FEMEE) will be extended with treenursery and fruitproduction.
Research objectives:
* Extension of the model. * Collection of data (farm activities, crop related data e.g.) * Modelling treenursery and fruitproduction in a system based on arable farming
Results and products: The result of the project will be that the method FEMEE (MEBOT) is extended with tree nursery and fruit production. An evaluation tool for environmental and economic sustainability of different crop protection strategies for tree nurseries and fruit crops is available. The products are a module Treenursery and a module Fruit crops, including an extention of the database. A report descibing the moduels Treenursery and Fruit Crops in FEMEE. |
