Abstract

Proteins and RNA tightly regulate gene expression in complex organisms, like animals and plants. It is unclear how RNAs influence gene expression. This project aims to study the formation of regulatory RNAs in Petunia, the role of junk DNA in this process, and how these RNAs achieve their goal.
