Description: Last April concern arouse after publication of an article in a national newspaper. It stated that de nutritional value of vegetables had decreased over time. Various organisations replied to that article, but the question arose whether the nutritional value of our primary crops had decreased indeed or not and what might be the cause of a putative decrease.
Research objectives: Aim of the project is to investigate whether the nutritional value of primary crops has changed during the last decades, to find explanations for this and to indicate efficient ways to improve the nutritional value in the future.
