| PROJECT AIM: Key issues in cutting-edge technologies (e.g. micro-electronics, lithographic systems) are massive heat removal and thermal homogenisation. Boiling heat transfer affords solutions to both issues and will play a central role in next-generation thermal-management schemes. However, to this end better control of the boiling process is essential. The study takes a first step towards this aim by the model-based development of control strategies for regu-lation of boiling under dynamic operating conditions in a representative 3D boiling system. |
