Abstract

PROJECT AIM: Developing lower dimensional models (nodal, or 1D models) as an alternative for complete 3D CFD techniques for simulating flow in components of the cryogenic industry. This technique should provide simpler models of the original components and it should be flexible enough for its use in the simulation of a network of interconnected process components. Some of the possible effects to study are: wall heat transfer, wall geometry and roughness, non-stationary wall, transitional flow, phase-transition.
