Abstract

Introduction:
The aim of this project is development of methods for detection and use of genes (with possibly non mendelian expression patterns) in commercial pig production. During the first period we focuss on detection methods but later on will switch towards the use field. The growing number of data places statistical genetics for the need to develop methods that enable the use of these and do not increase exponentially in computational requirements.

Results:
For the moment I did not get many results since the project began a few months ago. At this moment, I am using Dirichlet process priors for assigning haplotypes to unordered genotypes
