Samenvatting (EN)

As social interactions (positive and negative) profoundly affect the welfare and performance of pigs, a novel selection program has been designed that considers both performance of the individual pig (i.e. traditional selection programs) and its heritable social effect on the performance of group members. I will study the effects of this novel selection program on behaviour, health and welfare of pigs, as well as the impact of group compostion and coping styles
