Description: To get insight in the leading sustainability principles per sustainability theme. To create support for these leading sustainability principles, and make recommendations for practical implementation-handles to make the Dutch food supply more sustainable. Besides that getting insight in the possibilities for measuring these leading sustainability principles and themes.
Research objectives: An inventory will be made of the sustainability themes and principles through literature research and interviews with experts and the target group. Via an analyses will be determined which principles are leading per theme. With the help of a brainstorm session/workshop the leading principles will be translated towards practical implementation-handles to make the Dutch food supply more sustainable.
The measurability of the leading sustainability principles and themes will be analyzed through literature research and existing initiatives using these principles. With this research will be determined what the possibilities will be for communication about these sustainability principles.
In the 4 monthly contact with the platform verduurzaming voedsel the knowledge of this project will be shared and discussed, also support for the leading principles will be created. The final contact with the platform will be an interactive workshop/ brainstorm session with the aim to translate the leading principles towards practical implementation-handles to make the Dutch food supply more sustainable.
Results and products: A report with the sustainability themes en leading principles to make the Dutch food supply more sustainable. If consensus is reached over the leading principles, also recommendations for practical implementation-handles (to act more sustainable) will be made in this report. Another result will be recommendations about the possibilities to measure the leading sustainability principles and themes. |
