| We investigate how stress levels and impulsive behavior can be manipulated and controlled using game-technology in the context of training (self regulation) and experimentation (studies of the Frontostriatal System). In phase 1, we will design and validate an effective parameterized stressor game environment, an adequate stress monitoring instrument, and a feedback model describing the relation between game parameters and stress indicators. In phase 2 we will apply this technique for studying the functioning of the Frontostriatal system. For this purpose we manipulate stress and impulsivity levels of voluntary participants, and use inhibition tests and fMRI brain activity measurements. |
