Description:
The Dutch Government wants to encourage farmers to invest in sustainable housing systems.
Research objectives:
Development of sustainability indexes (MDV) for animal production, that can be adopted by the Dutch government in tax deduction legislation in order to stimulate farmers to invest (voluntarily) in additional improvement of animal welfare, health and environment.
Results and products:
A list of measures to reduce fine dust emissions and a list of measures to improve architecture which can be added to the MDV- indexes. A farmer needs to realize a certain levels on this indexes in order to get access to tax deduction facilities. |
