| Sustainable soil management is the central issue in this programme. The programme aims to support the development of sustainable soil management packages for organic and conventional agriculture. It comprises research on the effects of actions (tillage, rotation, green manures, use of various inputs) on the soil, in view of a potentially wide range of objectives, such as soil health, soil fertility, weed control, emissions of nutrients and biocides, water holding and drainage, energy and greenhouse gasses. |
