N utilization can be increased by growing catch crops. However, after maize and ware potatoes due to the late harvest time N uptake of a catch crop will be poor. An earlier harvest time will improve the possibillities but will have agronomical consequences. This project will explore the possibillities of earlier harvesting and their environmental and agronomical effects.
