Description:
There is a need for information on the total use of the agricultural sector of fertilizers and energy. Besides this there is a need for information on investments and the capital goods stock in the agricultural sector. This information is not directly available on a national level. For this reason they are calculated by extrapolation of the results taken from enquiries and the farm accountancy data available at LEI.
Research objectives:
Generate and provide aggregated agricultural data on national level to the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food safety (LNV), the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), FAO and others.
Results and products:
- several small articles in agri-monitor (LEI publication)
- several tables in publications outside LEI (FAO, CBS)
- a source of information for the calculation of policy relevant indicators in different institutes (LNV, RIVM, CBS). |
